Tyranitar turned as he was hit by the marginally effective flamethrower, turning around, it roared and fired a Water Pulse at the Torkoal.

Torkoal retreated into his shell and took the Water Pulse, taking slightly less damage from the attack. He then popped out and used Overheat, sending a powerful blast of Fire in Tyranitar's direction.

Kira smirked while Overheat may be powerful at first, it lowered the rest of the special attacks and soon made them useless. And plus, by using a Water Pulse, Tyranitar made up for the damage balance by being super effective.
After firing its first Water Pulse, Tyranitar fired another one at Torkoal.
((NOw that you've used Overheat, divide your damage of an attack by .5 at first, and going up by .5 each turn.))

Kylar frowned as his pokemon was losing. It should be expected, coming from the Headmaster, but that didn't make the loss any less painful. As Torkoal was hit by the second Water Pulse, he lost his footing. He struggled to get up, but the power was too much for him and he fell. Kylar grabbed his pokeball and returned Torkoal with a scoff and said, "You... win, I guess. Don't think it'll be this way next time."

Kira returned his Tyranitar to its pokeball, walking up to Kylar, he bowed and shook hands with the student.
"You did exceptionably well there, my friend. Keep up with your studies and you may yet beat me."
