Age: 16
Height: 5 foot 5
Weight: 115 pounds
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral
Pic/Description:
Personality:
Zara is an extremely hard worker. She always does everything to the best of her ability and often pushes herself too hard. Failure is not an option for her and she takes it hard when she does. She never gives up, even when things seem hopeless, which only sets her up for disappointment sometimes. She has a quick temper and a quicker tongue, and is annoyed rather easily by others. Her brother is the only exception to this, pretty much exempt from her wrath whenever it might spark up. She is extremely driven and diligent, stubborn beyond reason, and can be a bit of a spoiled brat at times, though thats usually only with things dealing with her sister. Even her sister's presence has been known to annoy her and send her into a bad mood.
This isn't to say she doesn't have her sweet and innocent side. All pokemon area weak spot for her, electric type or not, though electric types have a special place in her heart above the others. She just loves the typical enthusiam you find in most electric type pokemon, the will to keep going and see things to the end and when things don't turn out right, to pick up and keep going, try again, start over. She is willing to do anything for her pokemon. She is also extrememly flirtatious and can be quite manipulative when she wants something bad enough. She is a pretty good actress, often pretending the innocent damsel in distress when it suits her. She is actually quite capable of taking care of herself, and just as her brother is protective of her, she is protective of him as well. If you mess with one, you can be sure the other won't be far behind to come running to help. Zara and Zare often can feel each other's emotions when they are strong enough; strong fear, hate, or sadness, mostly, sometimes happiness.
Region: Kanto
Starter Pokemon: Magnemite-Magnum
Dorm: Rayquaza Green
History:
Zara was born in the Hoenn region to a father who was an expert on dog-like pokemon, his whole team consisted of them, and a mother who was a dark type expert, obviously her whole team consisting of dark types. She also has a twin brother, Zare, and an older sister, Zeneka. Growing up as a twin, she and Zare were really close, usually sharing pretty much everything with each other, and sometimes even knowing each other's thoughts. As they got older, they grew a little bit apart, mostly on the subject of pokemon, but still remeained close despite their differences in opinion.
As a young child, Zara always felt as if she was living in Zeneka's shadow. Not that her parents pressured her to be like her older sister, but she felt pressured on her own to do better, to surpass her. So she was always diligent, working hard and studying everything closely, reading a lot to learn as much as she could, pushing herself. Her parents were a bit worried that she overworked herself at times. After Zen went off to Arceus Academy, she slowed down a bit, however, and relaxed even more after they moved from Hoenn to Kanto.
One day, she and Zare had been exploring their new home, finding an old electric plant to play around in, when Zara met her first pokemon: a lonely magnemite. She felt bad for the pokemon, but wasn't sure what to do about it. She asked Zare to go back home with her and ask their parents what they could do for it, but it followed them home. When it started feeding off their father's Manectric's electrical charge, he told them to take it back, but she pleaded with her father and then her mother to let her keep it. It was too lonely for it back at the plant, there didn't seem to be any other pokemon there. So her father caught it and gave it to her, telling her it was an early birthday present and to keep it away from his Manectric.
When her parents became worried about Zare's ways and decided to send him to Arceus Academy, Zara of course requested to go with. After all, Zeneka had gone there, Zara needed to as well, if she was ever going to be better than her sister. And she couldn't let herself be seperated from Zare, they always went everywhere together. By this time, both she and Zare had chosed their path as pokemon trainers, Zare choosing to be a fire type trainer and Zara choosing electric types.
Zara was so excited to leave for the academy, she left early to meet the boat, not waiting for Zare to get ready. However, the boat left without him, and she was fairly distressed about it throughout the whole trip. When she got to the island, she couldn't focus and asked to be able to wait to take the entrance exam until her brother arrived, she knew it wouldn't be long. Though it was longer than she thought it would be, she was overjoyed when he finally got there. Of course, being diligent and always wanting to do her best, Zara made it into Rayquaza Green, under the supervision of her sister, much to her annoyance.
