Name: Luna Sylar
DOB: December 13
Age: 29
Height: 5 foot 9
Weight: 130
Gender: Female
Subject: Elemental Type Specialist/Deputy Headmaster
Pic/Description: Just imagine her with deep red streaks in her hair....
Personality: Luna is generally a pretty nice person and very friendly, if not a bit eccentric at times. In battle, she can be a bit over-determined, if there is such a thing. She is very creative and artistic, a big poetry writer and music appreciator. She doesn't usually raise her voice, ever, unless she is extremely frusterated, which is hard to accompish with her since she is pretty laid-back and easy-going.
Region: Kanto
Starter Pokemon: Charizard, Altaria, Shinx
History:
Luna was an only child and grew up with only her mother, her father abandoning the two shortly after she was born. Her mother was a fire type gym leader as well, however, and luckily her aunt was there to help raise her when her mother needed to 'work'. As she grew, she watched her mother in many battles, countless trainers seeking her out to earn her badge. She saw how easily she lost on certain occasions, usually to water pokemon, and this got her interested in finding out everything there was to know about type differences and how they affected each other. She also decided, because of this, that she would never keep to only one type of pokemon, but have many options at her disposal and so not be limited.
However, her first pokemon was a fire type, a shiny charmander she saved from a rain storm. She housed the resentful wild pokemon for a couple days, the rain not letting up, and finally was willing to allow it to leave. However, the charmander, upon seeing it was not held captive and that this trainer wasn't going to obsess about catching it since it was 'different', it was intrigued. It decided to stay and see if she would try to catch her still. When Luna only continued to care for the charmander as long as it might want to stay, it grew attached to her and soon was following her everywhere. Her mother suggested she catch it, after it living with them for some time, or else someone else would. Never really realizing before that because she hadn't yet caught it, someone else still could, she asked the charmander if it might want to stay with her and become the first pokemon in her team. The charmander willingly agreed, never before having come upon a trainer who didn't wish to catch her. Luna named her Charlie, for her tom-boyish attitude, and began training her immediately.
She continued to research in Kanto, fighting many different pokemon, watching them, sometimes trailing them for days at a time to learn more about them, always with Charlie at her side. Finally she could learn no more about the pokemon from Kanto and her mother sent her to Arceus Academy to give her a good chance to further her knowledge. Because of her previous studying of pokemon, she scored high enough on the exam to get into the Rayquaza Green dorms. She was a star pupil, excelling in her studies and in time, on the battlefield as well. Upon a trip to the safari, she caught a swablu with her newly evolved charmeleon. Her Altaria and her Charizard were the only pokemon she had throughout her time as a student, and she got far with them. After her studying at the school was over, she applied for a teacher position, and became the Elemental Type Specialist of AA. Not long ago, she was also offered the Deputy Headmaster position, and she took it, though she continues teaching her classes as well, finding teaching to be a fun way to spend her time, passing on her knowledge to others. She recently caught her third pokemon, a shinx, and works with him in her spare time, trying to get him up to par with her other two pokemon.
